Diabetes can be directly correlated to oral health.<\/p>\n<p>In honor of Dr. Fredrick Banting, the co-discoverer of insulin back in 1921, dentists and health practitioners alike draw awareness on his birthday (November 14<sup>th<\/sup>) to try to halt the progress of the disease.
